What

On Saturday September 19th 2009, the Free & Open Source Alliance of Singapore (fosa.sg), in partnership with Open Source Software Society (OS3) of SMU are proud to present an informational day specifically targeted at Open Source enthusiasts.  The event will be held at Level 2 SMU School of Information Systems, 80 Stamford Road and attendance is free but seats are available on first-come-first-serve basis.

Who

The objective is to provide a platform for information sharing where Technical Professionals and Computer Enthusiasts  will be able to learn about the latest developments in open source technologies.  They will learn how to use and implement various technologies as well as get a chance to interact with experts in various fields.

How

The crux of the event is to offer in-depth, interactive technical tutorials and hands-on sessions that aim to provide detailed and technical information for technical minded participants can further their knowledge.  The workshops will provide both theoretical as well as practical aspects. At the end of day, participants should benefit from expanded understanding of latest developments in Free and Open Source Technology.

This event is organised as part of the annual global Software Freedom Day initiative. This is the second year the event is being held in Singapore. Please visit the official Singapore website to check our other events to mark Software Freedom Day
